The KiM brand name was registered in 1961. In 1963, the first salted peanuts appeared on shop shelves. It was only in 1965 that the products were introduced under the now so well-known KiMs brand name.
KiMs has changed hands a few times since the 1960s. Today, KiMs is a fully owned subsidiary of the market leading Nordic and Baltic Chips AB snacks corporation, which is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
Today, KiMs supplies customers in many countries, always based on joint development by KiMs and the individual importers of products tailored to tastes and needs of consumers in the respctive markets.
KiMs is a regular participant in international food fairs and trade shows in order to meet potential international customers and develop new markets.
In 1971, KiMs started construction of its current factory on the island of Fyn, Denmark. The company has expanded a number of times by factory extensions and company acquisitions.
In the 1980s, KiMs started supplying crisps and snacks to international customers. The first market outside of Denmark was the UK. |
